Early childhood Program (Ages 0–5)
Music Together®
At Eric’s Piano School, our early childhood is built around the internationally recognized Music Together® program, designed to be the prequel to their piano studies.
This is not just a “cute music class.” It is a developmentally informed musical journey designed specifically for young children and their caregivers with weekly recurring 45 minute classes.
In every class, children are developing skills that directly support future piano study.
They learn to:
Hear differences in pitch and melody
Feel and maintain a steady beat
Coordinate movement with sound
Explore sound through fun instruments
Most important, they learn that music is FUN.
Why The Early Years Matter
From birth through age five, a child’s brain is developing at an extraordinary rate. This is when skills like listening, coordination, memory, and emotional regulation are formed, not later.
Music engages all of these areas at once.
When children experience music during these pivotal years of development, they become the foundation for everything that comes next, especially piano.
Why Parents Join
Young children don’t learn music in isolation, and they’re not meant to.
In Music Together®, parents and caregivers actively participate alongside their child. This isn’t about being a perfect musician.
It’s about learning how to bring music into everyday life - how to role-model that making music can be a “normal” part our daily lives.
But we need your help.
After all, they learn to value what you value more than anything a teacher can teach them at this age.
You’ll discover simple ways to:
Integrate music making into everyday life at home
Use music to ease transitions and routines
Bond with your child through music.
This shared experience strengthens connection, reinforces learning between classes, and helps music become a natural part of family life.
You don’t need musical training. You just need to show up!
