Piano Lesson FAQs

  • Our studio is at 18141 Beach Blvd, Suite 100, in Huntington Beach. Families come to us from Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Costa Mesa and the surrounding Orange County area.

  • Every new student starts with a free trial class, with no contract and no pressure. Your child gets a real first lesson, you see how our studio works, and then you decide.

  • Music Together® classes are for babies, toddlers and preschoolers from birth to age 5. Piano Express® is for kids ages 5 and up. Intermediate students continue on our RCM Exam Path.

  • Most kids are ready for piano lessons around age 5, once they can focus for a short class and recognize letters and numbers. Younger children get a great musical head start in our Music Together® classes, which build the rhythm and listening skills that make piano easier later.


  • Piano Express® is our beginner piano program for kids in Huntington Beach. It combines teacher-led lessons with an interactive practice tool that gives students instant feedback at home, so mistakes get caught right away instead of a week later. Most beginners move through method books about three times faster than in traditional lessons.

  • Piano Express® is taught in small groups, and classes mix ages and levels. Each student works on their own music at their own pace, with the teacher coaching individually. The shared environment also builds independence and piano friendships.

  • Classes are one hour, once a week, for 47 weeks a year.

  • We highly encourage it. To get the full benefit of Piano Express®, your child should practice at home on a keyboard that connects to our assessment tool. That instant feedback during home practice is what makes 3x faster progress possible, because your child knows right away whether they played it correctly instead of waiting until the next lesson.     Most digital keyboards these days are compatible with a USB or MIDI connection.


  • Piano Express® tuition starts at $225 per month. That covers your child’s weekly one-hour lesson, all books, a Piano Express® practice software account and recital participation, with no surprise fees for materials or performances. Every family starts with a free trial class, so you can see the program before you commit.

  • Our studio is on Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach, and families come to us from across north Orange County, including Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Seal Beach, Garden Grove and Costa Mesa. [Most families are within about a 15-minute drive.] We teach in person at our studio, where every student has access to our full setup of pianos and practice technology.
